J. Dale Utt, DO has been practicing medicine in Grand Junction since 1979. He graduated from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (now a part of Midwestern University) and is Board Certified by the American Academy of Osteopathic Family Physicians. His interests include all areas of family medicine from children through geriatrics and Osteopathic Manipulation Therapy.
Dr. Utt has active privileges at Community and St. Mary’s Hospitals.
He was appointed to the Colorado Medical Board by Governor Bill Ritter in March 2009 and was reappointed in April 2010. The Continuing Medical Education Committee at Community is an ongoing interest.
Dr. Gregory C. Reicks joined Foresight Family Physicians in July of 1989. He is board certified by the American Academy of Family Practice. He completed his medical training at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville Missouri and completed his family practice residency at St. Vincent Hospital in Jacksonville Florida. His special interests include treatment of chronic musculoskeletal conditions and using health information technology to improve the quality and efficiency of health care delivery.
Dr. Reicks is on active staff at the both Community Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital. In addition, he serves as the president of the Mesa County Physicians IPA as well as president of the Quality Health Network, our regional health information exchange.
Heather Chynoweth, PA-C was born and raised in the Grand Valley and had the privilege of growing up in a healthcare related family. Seeing her grandfather’s ENT practice, her grandmother working as a Psychiatric Nurse, mother as a Physical Therapist and father as an epidemiologist. This background has helped to form her belief in the benefits of a Medical Home, which is the incorporation of multiple medical providers to treat the patient as a whole. Heather completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at Mesa State College in 2000 and went on to Midwestern University in Glendale AZ, where she received a Master’s Degree in Medical Science and Physician Assistant studies. She returned to the Grand Valley and started practicing at Foresight Family Physicians in the spring of 2004 and at Mesa Otolaryngology in 2008. Heather enjoys working with all ages and feels the patientÂ provider relationship is the key to maximizing preventative healthcare. She has many interests in medicine and enjoys the Family Practice specialty. Other interests include volleyball, biking, hiking, camping, gardening, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family.
Mack contributes to the facilities vision of caring for patient’s whole health through helping them make healthy lifestyle changes. She is passionate about patients taking control of their own health and learning necessary skills, such as reading nutrition labels, to become a healthier person for life. This service enables patients to identify specific aspects of their health they want change, and Mack helps individuals formulate their action plan. Mack graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Health and Exercise Science and worked at Anschutz Health and Wellness Center at the University of Colorado. Her past experience includes combining personal training, nutrition education, and motivational coaching to help individuals achieve their best health. Glenda Cain joined Foresight Family Physicians in January of 2015. Glenda received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Mesa State College in 1994, then her Masters and FNP degree in 2003. For the last 10 years Glenda has been doing Locums (traveling) and has worked in a variety of settings with experience in several areas of specialty practice around the country. She is interested in community projects such as health fairs, domestic violence, sexual assault programs, as well as local church projects. She was named Volunteer of the Year and was the top fundraiser for a diabetes walk in 2003. Glenda has 5 children and has been a foster parent to several youngsters. She knows exactly what it’s like to be a parent.
