Shared Decisions

Welcome to our Shared Decision information page. Shared Decision Making involves patients, families and their providers in making health care decisions with the best available evidence about screenings. A good health care decision is when patients are informed, have the most up to date information, compatible with patient’s values, weighs pros and cons, and is practical.

The providers at Foresight Family Physicians want their patients to be as well informed as possible. In the links below, you will find information about colonoscopy, mammogram, and prostate screenings. Men at the age of 50 and older should look at the Colonoscopy and PSA page, women at age 50 and older should also view the colonoscopy page. Please take the time to look these pages over, so that you are prepared to discuss this at an appointment.
